Library of Congress Recommended Formats Statement 2020-2021 - Draft for Public Comment

简介: The Library of Congress, a proud Full member of the DPC, is excited to be nearing the release of a new version of the Recommended Formats Statement. Over the last several months, the team of experts charged with maintaining, improving and ensuring the accuracy of the Statement have been engaged in the annual process of examining the Statement and its content categories, to ensure that it correctly reflects the technical characteristics for best practices regarding preservation and long-term access.

Australasia Preserves releases pre-ingest and ingest training modules

简介: Digital Preservation Essentials began at the very first meeting of Australasia Preserves in February 2018, when there was discussion around the idea of developing “digital preservation carpentry” lessons. Among the many priorities and needs for digital preservation in Australasia discussed at the first meeting, there was clear demand for accessible, hands-on training for doing digital preservation work.

StayHome learn from home: ICA’s offer to the archival community during COVID-19

简介: A new situation calling for new measures. We all recognize the unprecedented situation that the worlwide COVID-19 crisis is having on your work, domestic and social structures, all of which are being impacted. The whole ICA team has switched to homeworking but even remotely, the team spirit persists. Our overriding message to all of the ICA network is: stay at home, but stay connected! The ica.org website remains open during this period and we remain available by email, telephone and videoconference.
